Family Led Funeral
​
This service is offered to families that want to plan, lead and organise their own funeral at home. We caretake your beloved until the time comes for the funeral service. We can help make suggestions, and offer any support you need. Pricing on this will vary, dependent on our involvement. Pricing starts at $4600.00 which includes a cardboard coffin, cremation, death certificate, all transfers and loving mortuary care.

Vigils
​
Vigils are a very personalised service. We listen to your needs and create an event to honour your loved one in a way that is most healing for you and your family. The purpose of the vigil is to prepare you to say goodbye to the physical and then re-enter your life without their presence. Vigils can be done at night, dawn, anytime and we journey with you until your loved one is laid to rest. The Vigil can be done in the privacy of your home, from 4 hours up till 5 days. Pricing starts at $1500.00 and can be combined with any funeral service.

Note: Doctors fees are the fees charged by your GP and a Medical Referee, which is required by law for a cremation to take place.

Venue of Choice

A funeral service for cremation or burial can be held in a church/chapel, private home, headland, etc. Price will depend on the choice you make. We are happy to make suggestions. If you wish to have an additional service, our Professional Fee may be adjusted depending on your requirements.

What our Professional Service Fee covers:
​
The professional fee refers to the service we provide you in arranging and carrying out the final wishes of a loved one. It covers all associated administration and other associated costs including staff wages, arranging, planning and conducting the funeral. This fee also covers transport of your loved one.
Services include but are not limited to:
Provision of transport and staff on the day of the funeral.
Placement of death and funeral notices in newspapers.
Liaising with churches/clergy or civil celebrant.
Liaising with the florist, caterer, musician and other service providers.
Liaising with Cemetery and Crematoria authorities.
Liaising with doctors/hospitals, government agencies and the Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages as well as other organisations.
Assistance and guidance with arranging funeral plans.
Guidance, expertise and care from a team of experienced, local and professional staff (available 24/7, all year).
Barefoot Funerals orientation is primarily as a service provided to our community, Bellingen Shire residents both past and present. As such, we only quote prices for the Bellingen General Cemetery. However, we are happy to provide services to communities outside the shire and provide prices for other cemeteries upon request.
